AquaXtreme Water-Cooled Barebones Quick Fill and Setup Guide

Parts shown in this guide are as follows:

AMS gTower Aluminum Case

Black Ice Pro PC Radiator installed to the Top Blow Hole

Swiftech MCW462-UH water-block

Eheim 1048 158GPH pump

Auto on Pump Relay Switch Kit

Tygon R-3603 1/2"ID tubing

BEFORE YOU START:

Mix included 4oz Water Additive (Redline Water Wetter or Zerex Super Coolant) with a gallon of DISTILLED Water. This mixture will be simply referred as "Coolant" in the rest of the guide.

Put the case on a table (We used the gTower's shipping box for the setup).

First take off the side panels of the gTower case, both front and back. Doing this is easy thanks to the thumbscrews;)

During the setup process you don't need to install any of your computer hardware in to the case, including the PC Power supply.

Step 1

Connect the L wire of the Pump Relay Switch to the N\C (Normally Closed) Position as described in the Pump Relay Switch Installation guide. DO NOT plug the included power cord to the Relay Switch yet.

Step 2

When you remove the back-side panel, you are going to see the pump and the fill-line at the end of the "T".

Put the included funnel in the fill-line, and start to SLOWLY pour the coolant. Make sure the coolant doesn't go any higher than the funnel's nose inside the tube.

Step 3

Now the fill line is filled with coolant and the pump is primed. At this point you can plug the power cord of the Pump Relay switch and turn it on, but it's a good idea to get some air out of the lines before that.

Step 4

By holding the fill line with one hand, lift the front of the case up as shown in the picture above. Now put the case back down and add more coolant to the system as described in step 6. You can repeat steps 6-7 for couple more times if you want.

Step 5

It's a good idea to connect the power cord of the pump to a surge protector so that you can easily turn the pump on and off during the setup process. Once you install your hardware components in to your new case and put L wire of the Pump Relay Switch back to N\O (Normal Operation) mode, the pump will operate via your case's power switch.

Plug the power cord of the pump, and continue adding more coolant to the system, SLOWLY!!!

When you hear the pump making some noise, turn it off. You are going to see that the air bubbles trapped inside the pump going up the fill line. Add more coolant and then turn the pump on. Repeat this last step couple more times if necessary.

We suggest you to let the system run for 30 min. After 30min. check your fill line and add more coolant if necessary.

Step 6

Now you can put the included cap on to the fill line, and secure it with the included snap-grip hose clamp. Simply place one around tube, snap snug with your fingers, and squeeze tight with pliers.

To remove, just use pliers to push sideways and separate the rows of teeth.

Now you can install your hardware components inside your new AquaXtreme Water-Cooled case.

IMPORTANT! DO NOT FORGET TO CONNECT L WIRE OF THE PUMP RELAY SWITCH BACK TO N/O (NORMAL OPERATION) POSITION!

Note: You're going to notice that tiny air bubbles continue getting trapped in the fill line, replacing the coolant. This's normal because the end of fill line is at the highest point inside the case, thus will trap all the air inside the system. A short time later you won't see any more tiny air bubbles in the fill line.
